What's a Maketing Tactic? Simply stated, it's a method of promoting your product or service. Practically everyone online needs to do that in order to make sales. For example, sending out your message via email is one tactic. Podcasting is another one. Creating a compelling sales letter is yet another. I'm sure there's lots more than 211 marketing tactics out there - those are just the ones I've identified so far (see my growing list). And I find more almost every week. One of your challenges with an online business is to discover and use the marketing tactics that will provide you with the most effective way of reaching the prospects and customers in your target market - and extend your reach deep and wide into the marketplace. The problem is, there are just SO MANY marketing tactics to choose from - you might be scratching your head for months trying to figure out how to pick the ones that are best for YOUR business. KEY QUESTIONS YOU MUST ANSWER
So if you don't mind, I'd like to ask you to stop and THINK logically about marketing tactics for just a minute. Aren't these the kinds of questions you really need to be asking yourself (and getting good answers to)?
1) Which marketing tactic(s) should I be using to promote my business? (and why) And how do I figure out which one is the one I should try?
2) Who offers me a proven and reliable system or blueprint for implementing a specific marketing tactic? (and how do I know?)
3) Who offers solid support after I've made my purchase? (i.e., who really cares about my success at least as much as they care about selling me their product and making a fast buck?)
4) Which marketing tactics experts offer and deliver the best value for my hard earned dollar?
5) Which products are constantly being upgraded and updated, rather than being left unchanged for months or years on a web site?
6) Which products add value with a forum, or a meaty newsletter, or regular tips that I can really use?
7) What tactics and products will appeal or work best with my customers and prospects?
8) Which marketing tactics will I enjoy working with the most?
9) Which marketing tactics can I use to leverage the skills and knowledge I already have?
10) Which coaches and gurus can I look to with confidence for the help I need to implement a specific marketing tactic?
11) Where can I find a selection of internet marketing products that use a variety of resources types (ie, audio, video, newsletters & ezines, ebooks, etc.)

1) GET FOCUSED
You know what you want to sell, but you don't know how to package or promote it. Or, your web site is up and running, but now you need to let the world know what you have to offer. How best to do that? It's the million dollar question facing every online business owner: what's the best way to promote your business?
If this is the dilemma you are facing, then you've come to the right place.
It has to be frustrating to be looking at 200+ different marketing tactics and not know which one to use. Info immersion is a good thing, but at some point you need to have at least a simple plan to help you evaluate if it's a tactic that 'fits' you and your business. And then, once you DO decide which marketing tactic you want learn more about, you have to search high and low and slog through a ton of resources on just that tactic to find some good resources that will really help you get going with effective action!
Once you decide what tactic to take a look at, I'll help you figure out what some of the really great products are, because I recommend only the best resources I know of for each marketing tactic. I don't recommend products that claim to tell you 'how to' implement a marketing tactic but only tell you what to do instead of how to do it (and important distinction). And, I make the process of finding those resources SUPER EASY using a new product I created for you (currently called MBB). How to create a MBB report with product download links
I was originally intending to leave a special product report online for only a week or so, but I have left it here for those of you who take the time to view this video. The tool that I demo in this video (MBB) is still in it's infancy (and still under development), with just 100 or so products currently in the database. If you want to play with this tool, you can - just go to www.mybonusbuilder.com. Just keep in mind that I'm currently making major updates and doing some beta beta testing on it. And, more marketing products are being added all the time. This tool can be used to create a list of products you can use to learn more about various marketing tactics. Or, you can use it for credating your own bonus list for a new product you've developed. The point is, this tool will help you zero in on resources related to a specific marketing tactic. And, as more products get added, the more powerful MBB becomes. Imagine doing a product search, and instead of just getting search engine results, you instantly get your hands on targeted products related to your keyword search!
You probably only need to use a few marketing tactics to be really successful in promoting your online business - you don't need to use all 200+ of 'em. So, here is your action plan for getting focused in a nutshell:
a) evaluate all the tactics that are out there (again, use the guidance offered in my list article), and
b) pick the 5-10 tactics you think will work the best for your business. Assign a priority to each tactic. This is the order in which you will begin to investigate those tactics.
Then, as a Kevs-Korner subscriber, I will continue to provide you with access to resources related to this growing list of tactics that you can locate quickly and easily. This is the first thing you need to figure out. Maybe you won't get it on the first try. But with my help, you WILL figure it out. Honestly answering all those KEY QUESTIONS I posed to you above is your first step.
2) GET A PLAN
A lot of folks will advise you to just take action. Well, they are correct, you do need to take action online - but this advice leaves out a very important distinction: you must also take effective action. Taking effective action means you first need to have an effective plan. Having an effective plan means you have a PROVEN road-map designed to get you to your destination. Your destination could be something like "get 1000 more subscribers", "get 500 more paying customers", or "increase my converstion rate by 20%", etc. Those are excellent specific goals because they establish specific and measurable objectives.
There is no single plan that is best for everyone, in the same sense that a size 13 shoe isn't going to fit on every foot. What then, is the best plan for YOUR business? Well the answer is, it depends. It depends on what your business needs are - and not every business has the same needs.
This is contrary to what every product sales page tells you - they all pitch THEIR solution as something you need and absolutely must have. If you don't have a plan, you're going to believe them every time. To avoid this, you need to build your plan first. Then, you need to use proven and effective marketing tactics resources that match your plan - not every product that gets pitched at you.
So, what marketing tactics are best for your business?
a) it depends on what marketing tactics "makes sense" for your business. What are your business needs and goals? Do you already have enough subscribers, but you want to attract them to an offer to help them? Or do you need to build your subscriber list?
b) it depends on what marketing tactics you already have some expertise and/or experience with. Obviously, this is a consideration for what tactics you will use. If a tactic fits your business needs, and you already have some expertise with that tactic, then it might just make sense to use it (especially if you don't have a partner with that expertise, or a lot of money to spend to hire someone else to help you)
c) it depends on what marketing tactics you feel most comfortable with and are willing and excited to learn more about and put into practice. Some marketing tactics might not appeal to you for various reasons, and that's fine. Keep looking until you find one that you CAN work with.
d) it depends on who you can partner with (if you think you can do it all by yourself - think again - only the most exceptional and/or experienced human beings actually can. For more on this, see the "GET HELP" section that follows this one). Partnering means you can leverage the skills and resources of others to your mutual benefit.
e) it depends on how quickly you want to start making money. If all you want to do is just make money, then you can get going pretty quickly. If you want to create a specialty site with lots of products and information, it may take a little longer to create.
f) it depends on who your target market is. Some markets will respond better to marketing tactic A than they would to tactic D or F. You need to consider this carefully before deciding which tactic(s) to use for your business.
The key thing to keep in mind is, which marketing tactic(s) do you think your market would respond best to? And then, which of those tactics do you think you could work on? Build your plan around this.
The other thing to keep in mind about a good plan, a REALISTIC plan, is this: don't kill yourself trying to implement it. You do, however, need a complete and proven blueprint, formula, or process - whatever you want to call it - that you can implement successfully for any marketing tactic. You don't want to have to re-invent the wheel on top of 1) defining the marketing tactic(s) you plan to use and 2) looking at a bunch of resources for those tactics.
You start out small, do some testing, and see if you can make it work effectively for your business. If you can't seem to make it work, after trying some of the best resources I recommend to you, then hey - you move on to the next resource or marketing tactic.
A plan for using ANY marketing tactic needs to be a PROVEN blueprint you can follow for creating and promoting your online business quickly, efficiently, productively, and most important - with measureable and profitable results.
This isn't kid stuff - this is your business - your baby, and I understand that. So, you HAVE to take it somewhat seriously. I mean, sure, you want to have fun running your business - but - you also must be laser-like and FOCUSED on what you need to do to ensure your success.

One more thing, having a plan means you'll need a step-by-step process or blueprint to follow. Many resources provide excellent guidance in this regard - others claim to do this but fail dismally. How can you tell if an ebook, audio, video, or other product actually offers you a proven process, blueprint or plan? 3) GET GOING
That's where Kev's-Korner comes in. It's not enough to have a plan, and it's also not enough to 'just do it', or 'take action'. You need to take effective action to be successful online. And to do that, you need an unambiguous and provern plan that you can follow - a plan that will help you achieve the results you seek.

If you don't want a web site, I can help you develop a proven plan for marketing your product or service. But if you DO decide you want a web presence, then you need to get traffic, right? Almost. Again, there is a distinction you need to make: You want to reach and attract targeted traffic. But, even more to the point, what you really need is targeted traffic that will buy your product or service. What you need is NOT just traffic, but sales from the traffic that comes your way. This means, you must be able to convert your traffic into paying customers who are delighted to whip out their wallets. Kevs-Korner can help you achieve this.
